On March 17, the launching ceremony of the first shield of the Chengdu to Meishan Line Project of the Municipal (Suburban) Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Chengdu Mei S5 Line) was held, marking the official entry of the Chengdu Mei Line Project into the shield construction stage.
According to reports, the Chengmei S5 line starts from Chengdu Honglian Station and ends at Meishan East Station in Meishan City, passing through the Sichuan Tianfu New Area Headquarters Business District, Cultural and Creative City Area, Shigao Area, Heilongtan Area, Mindong New District, and Dongpo District. The total length of the line is 59.14km, with a total of 13 stations and 14 sections, including 5 underground stations and 8 elevated stations. It is a city A-type car with a maximum operating speed of 160 km/h, and is organized in a group of four cars.
The civil engineering area 3 of the Meishan section undertaken by Sichuan Road and Bridge of Shudao Group starts from the shield launch shaft (not included) in the Meiyin section and ends at Meishan East Station, with a total of 2 stations and 1 field (Music Square Station, Meishan East Station, Meishan North Parking Lot) and 2 shield sections (Meishan North Station ~ Music Square Station shield section, Music Square Station ~ Meishan East Station shield section).
It is worth mentioning that the contractor tailored four composite EPB shields according to the unique geological conditions of Meishan City and the complex environment around the tunnel.
"The maximum excavation diameter of this machine is 8.23 meters, the length of the whole machine is 95 meters, the weight of the whole machine is about 1,200 tons, and the maximum climbing capacity is 50‰. Wang Anchun, chief engineer of the project department of the civil engineering area 3 of the Chengmei line project, pointed to the "first machine" and told reporters that the equipment selection is based on safety, reliability and adaptability as the primary criterion, and on the basis of the conventional function configuration, the new shield mud injection system, synchronous injection double liquid slurry system, emergency storage and power generation system, shield machine operation remote intelligent monitoring system, harmful gas automatic detection system, wind tile electric locking and other functions, fully guarantee the safe and efficient tunneling of the shield machine in the underground section.
Chengdu Mei S5 line is an important transportation infrastructure connected to the Chengdu metropolitan area line network, and is the main channel between Meishan and Chengdu in the same city. After completion, it will effectively shorten the time and space distance between Chengdu and Meishan, improve the happiness of the surrounding citizens, and promote the efficient agglomeration of industries, population and various production factors between Chengdu and Meishan, which is of great significance for promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the development of Chengdu-De-Meishan co-urbanization.
